Abstract
Technology has revolutionized educational practices globally, providing new tools and resources to enhance learning experiences and educational outcomes. This study explores the role of technology in enhancing economic education in secondary schools within Nsukka Local Government Area. The research investigates the availability, application, and effectiveness of digital tools, multimedia resources, and internet-based platforms in teaching and learning economics. Using a mixed-method approach, data was collected through surveys administered to teachers, students, and administrators, as well as classroom observations. Findings reveal that although technology significantly aids in the understanding of complex economic concepts and encourages student engagement, its integration is often limited by infrastructural and financial constraints. The study highlights both the opportunities and challenges of implementing educational technology and suggests strategies for more effective use, including targeted training for teachers, investments in digital infrastructure, and policies to increase access. This research provides insights for educators, policymakers, and stakeholders in enhancing economic education, ultimately aiming to foster a generation of economically informed students.
